A long-time manufacturing client operating at an enterprise scale approached us with a growing network limitation.

Their environment had originally been built on the 192.168.0.0 subnet configuration common in small deployments, but increasingly problematic as their operations expanded. 

This legacy design created two critical challenges: 

• IP address conflicts when connecting multiple remote facilities 

• Incompatibility when the client’s parent company attempted to integrate them into a global VPN infrastructure 

These issues introduced operational friction, limited scalability, and posed long-term risks to performance and security. However, any corrective action had to meet a strict requirement: zero impact on production operations. 

The Solution

Working closely with the client’s internal network operations team, CyberHAWKS designed a comprehensive remediation plan to modernize the network without disruption.

• Re-IP’ing the entire environment to a conflict-free subnet aligned with enterprise standards 

• Implementing network segmentation to reduce broadcast noise and strengthen security boundaries 

• Delivering the project on a flat-rate basis to ensure predictable costs and eliminate budget risk 

Every phase was carefully documented, tested, and rehearsed to ensure flawless execution within a tightly controlled maintenance window. 

The Impact

During a scheduled 12-hour maintenance window, our engineers successfully reconfigured 500+ devices across the environment, completing the entire project without impacting production systems.

When staff arrived the next morning, operations resumed seamlessly. Beyond resolving subnet conflicts, the project delivered measurable improvements in performance, security, and long-term scalability.
