A high-tech manufacturing client planned to relocate operations to a new facility to support growth and modernization.

While the move itself was straightforward, the risk lay in migrating critical IT infrastructure without disrupting day-to-day operations. 

Downtime was not an option. The client relied on a hybrid environment supporting both on-premises and cloud systems, with tight production schedules and distributed users who depended on continuous connectivity. Additionally, the new facility required a properly designed server room, upgraded cabling, and reliable high-speed internet, none of which had yet been finalized. 

The client needed a partner who could manage the entire relocation process end-to-end, while proactively identifying opportunities to improve performance and reduce costs. 

The Solution

As soon as the lease was signed, our team began coordinating with property management, contractors, and service providers to build a comprehensive relocation plan. 

Our design team engineered the new server room layout, oversaw structured cabling installation, and evaluated connectivity options. Although the client was already under contract with an internet service provider, we negotiated upgraded bandwidth at faster speeds and a lower monthly cost, delivering immediate value without extending the contract or adding fees. 

We also assessed the client’s backup strategy and replaced their existing provider with a lower-cost, higher-performance solution, improving recovery capabilities while reducing ongoing expenses. 

On move day, our engineers executed a controlled teardown and partial hot-cut migration of critical systems. Core infrastructure was transported, reinstalled, tested, and brought online within hours, beating the scheduled maintenance window and ensuring uninterrupted operations. 

The Impact

The relocation was completed with zero downtime, allowing the client to transition into their new facility without any disruption to staff or production workflows.

With upgraded bandwidth, improved backup performance, and a purpose-built server room, both cloud and on-prem systems now operate more efficiently than before, while total operating costs have been reduced.
